Communications Strategists Ali Harden and Kristen Hawn Launch Bipartisan Public Affairs Firm Granite Integrated Strategies, LLC

White House and Capitol Hill veterans Ali Harden and Kristen Hawn join efforts to offer strategic PR solutions, bridge gap between government affairs and communications

Washington, DC – Today, top political communications veterans Ali Harden and Kristen Hawn launched Granite Integrated Strategies, LLC, a bipartisan public affairs and strategic communications firm. Granite Integrated Strategies specializes in media, advocacy and coalition management. Harden and Hawn have decades of experience providing targeted, creative and effective solutions to communications and government affairs challenges both in and outside of the Beltway, and on key campaigns across the country.  

“As with any political campaign – lobbying, advocacy and communications efforts must be fully integrated to achieve success. We see an increased need to align the essential elements of winning political campaigns when it comes to messaging campaigns for corporate clients. We are excited to bring our collective work experience and a bipartisan approach to the table for clients,” said Harden and Hawn.

Hawn served as the Communications Director for the influential Blue Dog Coalition, serving as senior advisor and spokesperson tasked with communicating the group’s priorities to local, national and international media. Prior to her work in Congress, Hawn worked for international corporate public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard. Hawn holds her Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.

Harden worked for the public affairs and grassroots advocacy firm DCI Group, LLC, as well as Public Strategies, Inc., where she worked on various corporate clients.  Harden started her career on the 2000 Bush Presidential Campaign in Austin, Texas. Following, she worked for First Lady Laura Bush in the White House, and then on to Capitol Hill to serve as Communications Director for Indiana Congressman Chris Chocola.In 2004, Harden joined the Bush-Cheney Re-Election Campaign as spokesperson for Laura Bush. Harden holds her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations from Purdue University.
